1. How long have you ben training aerial silks?
It has been 1.5 years since my first serious aerial silks class.
2. What are your aerial goals and how has Master the Silks helped you get closer to reaching those goals?
I want to open an aerial theater and be a director and performer. MTS is great because I could not only learn (still learning) movements but also how to work out, how to stretch and how to make different shapes with the apparatus etc. Everything about aerial. This is really precious information for me.
3. What advice can you give other students who might be struggling with creating an aerial act?
I think it's not easy to do if you don't have the place for practicing. Luckily I have my place, that's why I could be done relatively quickly. In my case I choose act 3, because I thought I want to try different movement then was usual for me. I used to do soft and light movements but through studying the choreography I learned how to make dynamic movements. It was totally happy experience.

1. How long have you been training aerial silks?
I have been training aerial silks since 2012.
2. What are your aerial goals and how has Master the Silks helped you get closer to reaching those goals?
In my work I wish to embody and emote passion through my performance art. Through MTS I feel more confident in my skills and that I have gained a greater understanding of this beautiful art form. I also love the challenges MTS provides with the application of new sequences, tricks, and choreography; I also enjoy the continuing education; and the community that the MTS course provides.
3. What advice can you give other students who might be struggling with creating an aerial act?
The most important advice I can give is the cliche, "Just Do It!" View the act several times, memorize the moves to the best of your ability, study the choreography notes for timings, and really feel the music. Nothing can replace practice, especially in aerial dance, do the best you can with what you have available, and don't forget to smile!
It's such a blessing to even have the opportunity to perform, to create in this beautiful art form which has only recently become so accessible, don't take for granted what you have, and express yourself!

I would say; remember that life isn't perfect but that there is beauty in the struggle. Pick a piece that speaks to you because the best part of performing is letting your passion shine through!
